I’ll never forget the day my love for writing and history first collided on Missouri soil at a Civil War Reenactment. That day captured my imagination and heart for penning stories of hope and healing in a hurting world.
The themes of my novels focus around God’s sovereignty in our lives and relationships. I loves weaving little-known pieces of history from the Missouri Ozarks into my books and showing characters learning through difficult circumstances that God’s grace and promises always prevail. I was beyond thrilled when my latest story finaled in the 2018 Genesis Contest and in the 2017 First Impressions Contest.
Most days, I write by day (editing during my little girl’s nap time) and I design websites by night. I’m so grateful to work from home and also work with authors as a Virtual Assistant and Web Designer.
If you love Christian fiction like I do, be sure to check out my blog, THE ENGRAFTED WORD, where I host author interviews and book reviews.
And if you’re a fellow writer, definitely check out American Christian Fiction Writers. I serve as president for my local chapter and I LOVE ACFW.
Besides my novel writing, I’m also a freelance writer with over 50 magazine articles published and I’m a frequent contributor for RURAL MISSOURI MAGAZINE.
When my hubby, Andrew, and I aren’t chasing our two-year-old Allison around, we enjoy hiking, gardening, and kayaking down the river by our home in the Missouri Ozarks. We love Thai food, road trips, and exploring Civil War battlefields.
