Gettysburg National Battlefield
Gettysburg, PA

Talk about an incredible place to visit. I highly recommend it. There are so many amazing monuments. There are over 1,300 throughout Gettysburg.

The infamous Wheatfield – one of the bloodiest locations of the entire 3-day battle.

Little Round Top is in the background here. It was so hard to imagine what happened here so many years ago. Just heartbreaking.

The high-water mark of the Confederacy, where Pickett’s Charge ended. Some day I’d like to go back and walk the entire path.

I’ll never forget the days we spent visiting Gettysburg. It left such a huge impact on me. Definitely a place I hope to take our kids to someday.

The 150th reenactment commemorating the battle of Gettysburg was unlike any other reenactment I’ve seen. It left me speechless.

So many soldiers, so many guns, so many cannons. I’ll never forget what that sounded like. Amazing!

A beautiful covered bridge we discovered just outside Gettysburg. Apparently soldiers traveled across this bridge before and after the battle. I love history!

Sunset at Gettysburg is both haunting and beautiful. It’s quiet and peaceful. Every time I look at these pictures I long to go back. If you haven’t been there, you definitely need to go! 🙂 You won’t regret it!
